ECMWF Metview Training Course 2014

Metview Introductory Material
*****************************

This material is taken from the COM_MV Metview training course held at ECMWF in April 2014. This course took place over 3 days, although a fast worker may be able to complete the exercises more quickly. 2012 was the first year that Metview 4 was used in this course. 2014 was the first year that the new user interface was used.

  * download these files into your main Metview directory

  * `ztuv.grb <https://get.ecmwf.int/repository/test-data/metview/tutorial/com_mv/ztuv.grb>`_ should go into a directory elsewhere on the filesystem
 
* Instructions:

  * do part 1 of the tutorial
  * unzip the rest of the icons::

        cd ~/metview
        unzip mv_tut_icons.zip
  
  * do the rest of the tutorial
